Google Maps data extraction

Google Maps scraper Chrome extension

Google Maps Scraper Pro runs inside the browser tab you already have open. You search Google Maps the way you normally would, click scrape, and the extension reads the listings that load and writes them into a table you can export. There is no API key to generate and no cloud job to configure.

What you get

  • Installs in Chrome, Brave, Edge or Opera in about a minute
  • Reads the results already loading in your Maps tab
  • Follows business websites to pull public email addresses
  • Captures phone, website, address, category, rating and review count
  • Deduplicates listings that appear in more than one search
  • Exports to CSV or Excel without a separate download step

How the extension fits into a normal Maps search

You open Google Maps, type a business type and a city, and scroll until the results you want are loaded. The extension reads those same results. Because it works from the page rather than a separate index, what you see in Maps is what lands in your export, and you can narrow the search and re-run it as many times as you like before committing credits.

Why a browser extension instead of an API

The Places API charges per call, caps what you can pull per query, and does not return email addresses at all. Cloud scrapers add a second problem: you configure a run, wait for it to finish, then discover the filters were wrong. Working in the browser means you can see the listings before you extract them, which cuts out most of the wasted runs.

What the extension does not do

It reads what Google Maps shows publicly. It does not log into accounts on your behalf, bypass rate limits, or retrieve anything hidden behind a login. If a business has not published a phone number or an email anywhere public, that row comes back blank rather than guessed. Blank cells are more useful than invented ones when the list is going into outreach.

Browser support and device activations

Anything built on Chromium works: Chrome, Brave, Edge and Opera. Firefox and Safari are not supported because the extension relies on Chromium APIs. A Pro licence covers four device activations, so a laptop, a desktop and a VM can share one seat without buying extra licences.

Getting the first export done

Install the extension, sign in with your licence key, run one narrow search such as a single suburb rather than a whole city, and export it. A small first export tells you quickly whether the columns match what your CRM expects. Once the mapping is right, widen the search area and let the larger runs go.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a Google API key to use the extension?

No. The extension reads the listings rendered in your own browser tab, so there is no API key, billing account or quota to set up.

Will it work in Firefox or Safari?

No. It depends on Chromium extension APIs, so it runs in Chrome, Brave, Edge and Opera only.

Does scraping happen on my machine or on your servers?

Extraction happens locally in your browser. Your account and credit balance sync to our servers, but the business rows are built on your machine.

How many devices can one licence cover?

The Pro plan activates on four devices. You can deactivate a device from the dashboard and move that activation to a new machine.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. The free Starter plan includes 50 credits, which is enough to run a small search end to end and check the CSV columns before you upgrade.
